When dealing with such a competitive market, such as the design industry, it was imperative for Pad Creative’s success that we used a very specific and targeted approach. This was done through Google Ads, using Search campaigns with precise keyword targeting and through the use of Display campaigns to increase the agency’s visibility & reach. This strategy has seen great results for Pad Creative getting strong leads from clients who are ready to convert.

The Broadplace approach

The challenge with creative industries is that you have many designers worldwide searching online for creative ideas from London, the creative capital of the world. Unfortunately these search queries get mixed up with potential customers browsing and searching online for your services, such as ‘brochure design’. In order to break through the very busy search queries online, we had to find a way of using longer tailed keywords and negative keywords and exclude many countries. This has worked very well and we have been able to deliver strong online enquiries.

In addition to this, we worked closely with Pad Creative to identify which of their services were generating the most interest and helped them to identify possible niche markets where there was less competition and more opportunities. With these strategies combined, Pad Creative now sees numerous website conversions on any given month.

The results

Using Google Ads, monthly leads increased by 70% in 2020, compared with the previous year, allowing Pad Creative to expand some of their services nationally. In addition to this, their impression share grew by 12%, maintaining an impression share above that of their competitors, allowing them to be more competitive in their industry.
