Last night saw the 6th annual Leatherhead & District Business Awards.

Broadplace were nominated and shortlisted once more. This year we were in the running for Business of the Year.
We actually came second, as runners-up, to of all people, our clients Liquid Productions – with whom we have a long-standing relationship. We like to think that in a small way, we helped them a little with their win – for the last 3 years we’ve assisted in driving traffic through their AdWords campaigns and SEO.
But, really, we weren’t too disappointed by not winning the top prize. It was genuinely nice just to be nominated and shortlisted. We made sure that Liquid knew we were really pleased for them:
The judges were impressed with our 95% client retention rate and our Premier Partnership with Google – one of only 6 in the country.
Last year, Broadplace won the Award For People Development 2014. An accolade we were immensely proud of. We were recognised for our work in the local community and our work with young apprentices and interns. There’s nothing that makes us happier than shaping some of the brightest stars of the future in our industry.
The awards were established in 2009 by a Leatherhead-based PR firm and have gone from strength to strength. They are supported by a number of sponsors including ExxonMobil, Unilever, The Leatherhead & District Chamber of Commerce and Prowse & Co. Ltd.
