Experts are predicting that online spending this year could reach the £5 billion mark this year. Of this, £2.25 billion is expected to be spent on mobile devices.
Black Friday took a different turn in 2015. After 2014’s scramble at high street stores, we Brits decided we were better off taking advantage of online offers. A lot of retailers shunned the big one day event; instead they opted to have week/end long offers and promotions. Asda, part of Walmart who are credited with bringing Black Friday to the UK, had no offers at all.
Here at Broadplace we were intrigued by this turn of events and decided to delve deeper into our own data to find out who won Black Friday, and how they did it. We specifically looked at 300+ businesses who trust us with their Google AdWords campaigns. We were looking for new trends and found a couple of case studies we thought were of particular interest.
